PRIVATE CHOIR REHEARSAL

Do you sing in a choir and need a little help with your voice part for the piece you are currently rehearsing? Whether it’s Mozart Requiem, Dream of Gerontius or Messiah, we all need a little bit of extra help if we find getting use to a new piece a little difficult in places.

I founded CHOIR OF THE EARTH during lockdown and we had over 10,000 singers through the choir. There was a huge variety of music taught online by a variety of Musical Directors including Nigel Short of Tenebrae (Spem in Alium and Allegri’s Miserere), Libby Crabtree (Sound of Music and Les Misérables), Harry Bradford (Verdi, Durufle, Faure and Brahms Requiems), John Warner (Mahler 2, Beethoven 9 and Mahler 8) and Joanna Forbes L’Estrange (How Do You Keep The Music Playing and other songs by Stevie Wonder,
Louis Armstrong and Nat King Cole), amongst others.

We now offer you the chance to have a private choir rehearsal with extraordinary Musical Directors
to help you be on top form for your performance.

Just let us know the piece you’re rehearsing on the form below plus your voice part and we’ll do the rest.

We’ll email each other to fix a time suitable for you and the Musical Director for an online session.

No money is needed now – the final price for a lesson, when arranged,
is likely to be in the region of £120 per hour.

HOW IT WORKS

You may well be worried about your internet speed, time lag, singing online, etc.
Please do not worry. It works like this:

  • First of all, you do not need to sing during the lesson - this allows maximum time for teaching.

  • The teacher will ask you which parts of the work you wish to practise

  • Or they can start at the beginning and work with you all the way through - up to you

  • They will teach on their piano, giving hints and tips along the way

  • After the session, you can watch the recording again and sing along with the teacher
as often as you wish to get it just right.

Remember:

  • You do not need to sing during the lesson

  • No need for headphones or special microphone settings

  • No need to have separate tracks for singing along
